The terms of the passport.
Short, because there isn't much to agree to yet. What's here is what we promise, and what we don't.

Who you're agreeing with
Halflocal is provided by Zelper, Lda, a company registered in Portugal. Its full details are on the legal notice. When these terms say ‘we’, that's who they mean.
Who can use it
Anyone 16 or over. By saving a passport or claiming one, you're telling us you are.
What you get today
No destination is open yet. Saving a passport and claiming it gets you an account that holds the stamps you ticked, so they're waiting for you the day yours opens. There's nothing to log into yet, and we haven't promised a date.
Your account
One passport per person, under the email you saved it with. Keep your password to yourself. If you think somebody else has it, write to [email protected].
The honour system
A stamp is you saying you did something. Nobody checks, and there's nothing to upload to prove it. It's a record of your own, not a competition, so the only person you could cheat is yourself.
What it costs
Nothing. If we ever add something you'd pay for, you'll see the price before you agree to anything, and these terms will change before it arrives.
If Halflocal changes
We'll keep working on it, which means things will change. If we ever close it, everyone with an account hears from us by email first, with time to ask for a copy of their passport.
Leaving, and being asked to leave
You can have your account deleted whenever you like by writing to [email protected]. We may close an account that's used to abuse Halflocal or other people, and if we do, we'll tell you why.
What we're responsible for
We look after your passport carefully, but Halflocal is free and offered as it is, and we can't promise it will never be unavailable or never lose anything. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under consumer law, or limits any responsibility of ours the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Which law applies
Portuguese law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the consumer rules where you live, and you can bring a claim in your own country's courts.
When these terms change
The date at the top changes with them. If a change matters to people who already have an account, we'll email them before it applies.
